Lock-down or Luck-down

Lock Down

The country wide lockdown has changed our livelihood. I came to my hometown, Biratnagar a day before the lockdown. I was fortunate enough to reach my home. Although, I had to pay quite expensive price for the travel. I am currently passing my time in my hometown. I haven't gone out of my compound for last 12 days.
My life in Kathmandu is monotonous and I usually follow same routine everyday. Wake up and have breakfast, go to office, join class at the evening "5:30 to 8:30 PM". We, sometimes, gather around in a small hotel nearby our college and chat with each other and forget about the tiring and hectic day. Go to home and have dinner cooked at home.
Lockdown Days
I am currently sitting in my own room. I usually do a lot of activities that helps me occupy my mind. I am aware of the fact " Empty mind Devils home". I play harmonium, help my mother in kitchen and other household stuffs, work in farm field, study for my postponed examination ( due to lockdown) and work from home.
I see a lot of youtube videos "Journeyman Pictures"-; to know about the Srilankan Civil War and most often, I see travel Vlogs of "Harld Baldr", " Best ever food review show" and currently I am watching Syifa Adriana's vlog who has made a lot of videos in Nepal. She is currently staying in Nepal. She was also been featured in Himalayan Times.
I am tired of using my smartphone. I am quite addicted towards it. I think it is a kind of necessary evil. I want to deduct my time spent on it. So I am trying to write something about the lockdown.
Recently, I also read a Nepali Novel "कट्टेल सरको चोटपटक" which was given and referred by Bikram Dai which is about a public school teacher who teaches political science and always struggle for livelihood and fulfilling's his family's demands.
Wounds of Kattel sir...
I always wanted to pass my time in my hometown. Due to my hectic schedule in Kathmandu, I was unable to visit my home. Either of my office or classes doesn't let me to have some leisure time. But this time, due to the global outbreak of COVID 19, everyone has got chance to stay inside with their loved ones. People are suggesting to realize who you are and know yourself and see what is really inside you. Everyone is extrovert in some way. During lockdown lets peek inside our self and explore our capabilities of being human. Let us not take our life as granted or by default. Let's cherish every moment of living. Everyone in social media is uploading their old memories and reminiscing their  memorable old days as if they would not get another life to live.
We human are proud of stepping on moon but left helpless by an unseen enemy. We have conquered each and every corner of earth but now a tiny little virus which we cannot see through our bare eyes is challenging our existence. Is it not the consequence of exploiting our mother nature. We are snatching each and every beautiful creation of mother nature for our food. So, the nature itself has reacted in turn to teach us a lesson. Lets develop a positive feeling inside us. Lets feel blissful and have some time for our self.

Here are some of photos I have taken.

A day in Lakuri Bhanjyang..

On April 24 all the hostelers decided to go to Lakuri Bhanjyang. It was a nice picnic spot.
Generally I don't go picnic though this time everybody forced me to go for a day out. I went to my grandparents house the day before the holiday. My friends were in hostel and they would pick me up from the bus stop nearby my grandparent's house. At morning they picked me up from Gatthaghar and we headed to Lakuri Bhanjyang.
Lakuri Bhanjyang is located 30 km up from lalitpur. It is a paradise for all travelers. As we went there, we started playing football. After some
time we had our breakfast and then we went to watch the scenery of the bhajyang. At half past two we had our meal. We were too tired of playing and running so we slept for couple of hours inside a bus. We woke up and  played football again for some time. Meanwhile meal was ready for us. We had our meal. As we were tired and wanted to get back to hostel, we directly went inside the bus and waited for all guys to come back.
It was a memorable day for me in Lakuri Bhanjyang. Our country has god such a place to go and pass a day with comfort.
